LEAP

The coherence of PATHWAY. Greater freedom of placement.
LEAP brings the essential acoustic principles of SCHETL PATHWAY into a standmount loudspeaker designed for greater freedom in the listening environment.
At its heart is ScaleAx, SCHETL's coaxial technology, realised here in a 12-inch driver developed specifically for LEAP. Sharing the same high-frequency driver and horn assembly as PATHWAY, it retains the central idea behind ScaleAx: a carefully balanced relationship between the drivers, resulting in an unusually coherent directional response.
Coherence is not merely a subjective impression. The way a loudspeaker radiates sound across frequencies influences both its presentation away from the listening axis and its interaction with the room. ScaleAx addresses these relationships at the level of the acoustic design.
LEAP also employs SCHETL's Under-Excited Transmission Line (UETL) principle, bringing its approach to controlled, low-frequency reproduction into a more compact enclosure.
The standmount configuration offers greater freedom in setting the listening height, while the reduced cabinet depth allows more flexibility in smaller rooms and when positioning the loudspeaker closer to the rear wall. Its 408 mm width and 12-inch driver preserve the physical presence of a large-format coaxial loudspeaker.
LEAP is not simply a smaller PATHWAY. It is a different expression of the same design philosophy: the coherence of a large coaxial source, combined with greater freedom to adapt the loudspeaker to the room and the listener.
